Abstract: This report is concerned with the calculation of physical properties of the pure gases O$_{2}$, N$_{2}$, CO, CO$_{2}$ , He, H$_{2}$O, H$_{2}$ , CH$_{4}$, CH$_{3}$OH and C$_{2}$H$_{5}$OH and their mixtures. Equations are given for the following properties : - thermodynamic properties : density, specific heat capacity, enthalpy, entropy and velocity of sound. - transport-coefficients : dynamic and kinematic viscosity, heat conductivity and diffusion-coefficient. - Prandtl-number and Schmidt-number A number of results is compared with experimental data to prove the reliability of the computer-program. Especially the range of temperature and pressure which is of interest to the synthesis of methanol (273K - 1273K, 10$^{5}$ Pa - 3 $\cdot$ 10$^{7}$ Pa) is studied.
